PBS Reno Spotlight Awards and Auction will replace our in-person gala this year! Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our community, this on-air event will honor individuals and organizations making a significant impact on our region, bring back the best parts of our on-air auction, and provide a safe and responsible way to support PBS Reno! It’s like the Oscars for people doing good in northern Nevada.
Spotlight Awards
Celebrating organizations and individuals contributing in meaningful ways to our community, awards will be given in each of the following categories:
- Extraordinary Community Group
- Extraordinary Local Business
- Extraordinary Educator
- Extraordinary Young Neighbor
- Extraordinary Neighbor
Nominations will begin in early June, with three finalists from each category chosen in July. In August, the community will vote to decide the winners!
On-Air Auction
Our black-tie awards show will also feature an on-air auction. Favorite items from our gala, packages reminiscent of our on-air wine auction, and new favorites will be available via live bidding by phone or online.
