When and where is the event being held?

The Atlantis Resort Casino Spa in the Paradise Room & Terrace.

 

What time does it start and end?

Doors open in the Paradise Room at 5:00. The event will end at about 8:00. 

 

What does this support? 

PBS Reno's annual Murder Mystery supports the programs you love to watch on our multiple platforms. From favorites like Midsomer Murders and Grantchester, to local highlights like ARTEFFECTS, PBS Reno PBS Reno addresses a fundamental need for free, educational, and informative programming in a rapidly changing media landscape. As costs continue to rise and many Americans lack access to affordable, trusted content, PBS Reno serves as a vital source of trusted information and entertainment, available to all regardless of their geographic location in our 75,000 square mile service area or economic standing.

 

When do I get my ticket(s)? 

There are no physical tickets for this event. We collect the names of all of your attendees so that you and your guests can easily come to check-in. At check-in, you will receive your table assignment, program, and can purchase Victim In Performance Raffle tickets. 


What is a "Victim in Performance Raffle"?

Guests can become apart of the entertainment by entering in our Victim In Performance "VIP" Raffle! For $20 per entry, guests enter for a chance to be one of the victims of a devious crime that evening. Check out your RSVP email for more details on how to enter before the event, and be sure to ask about how to buy tickets on May 17th!

 

Do I have to give the names of all my guests now? 

When you purchase multiple admissions, you will be prompted to put the names and meal choices of each of your guests. If you do not have this right now, you can put your name down and fill out your RSVPs later. If your guests change before the event, contact events@pbsreno.org. 

 

Will there be a bar? 

We will have two complimentary bottles of wine at each table, and bars available that take cash or card. We will also have a Mystery Liquor Pull! 


What is a Mystery Liquor Pull? 

For $50, you can pull from our Mystery Liquor inventory that has various, delicious liquors. These liquors range in value of $50 or more! 

 

Can I open my liquor at the event? 

Any of the Atlantis bartenders can open your bottle for you. Guests are responsible for the corkage fee. 

 

Can I bring someone under 21?

Yes! All ages have fun at this event!

 

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

You will be provided with an RSVP link to provide all the names of who will be using your purchased admissions and can indicate if they require a vegetarian/vegan meal at that time. All meals are made gluten-free for ease.

 

What is the dress code?

Dress as your favorite detective or in disco attire! Junkee Clothing Exchange has a wonderful selection of costumes, and the associates would be happy to help build your wardrobe for the evening! Tell the cashier at Junkee that you are coming to PBS Reno's Murder Mystery on May 17th to get 10% off your purchase.

 

Is there assigned seating?

Yes! Tables are set for (8) people. You will be assigned a table that will be provided at check-in for the event. We will seat you at a table to meet your fellow detectives so you can solve the mystery as a group.

 

Can I sit with my friends?

If you have purchased admission separately from others in your group and wish to be seated at the same table, indicate the name of the other purchaser using your RSVP link or contact Holly Hutchinson at 775.600.0548 or email events@pbsreno.org by Friday May 2nd. We will do our best to accommodate this.

 

How does the murder mystery work?

Suspicious characters are afoot at Death at the Disco. You will be provided with a check-in that will give you clues on who you should look out for. But keep an eye out on this boogie night—you never know what might happen…

Your table will work as a team to solve the crime and make your best guess of whodunit and why. The best guess wins a prize at the end of the evening.
